Internship Program

This SEU hosted three interns during this reporting period from the Tarrant County College, University of Texas at Dallas, and Texas A&M University. These interns worked in the Programming Department shadowing the department managers. The interns learned about operations, business processes, and the responsibilities of each department.

Participate in event/program sponsored by an educational institution relating to careers in broadcasting.

On Oct 29, one of our On-Air Reporters spoke at the Southern Methodist University “Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Seminar” and presented information about on-air careers and tips on how to present a good radio story on-air.

Participate in Job Fair

On February 29, 2012, this SEU participated in the Dallas Stars Career Fair. Our Business and Assistant Business Managers attended this event and provided information to attendees about careers in broadcasting and job opportunities within the SEU.
